Colombo

SUBJECT & CONTEXT

A visa run turned into an unplanned hop to Colombo, Sri Lanka, edging out of its 2022 crisis with a steadier daily life, but still price-sensitive. It was interesting to witness how Chinese capital is shaping the city; India is close (Chennai - Colombo ~1h20) and Tamil sits alongside Sinhala, et India’s commercial presence is way smaller. I’m curious how Sri Lanka will evolve.
